  • M205 first impression...

    WOW!

This stuff is awesome! I decided to fly over my car with it tonight...even though it didn't need a buff.

I used the FLEX with a W9207 pad on a speed of 4.

    Things I noticed:

    -Zero Dust
    -Easy to work in
-Wipes off SOOOO easy! You almost think you are taking off wax and not a polish
    -Great deep wet look

Although my car had no swirls or scratches, I did notice a fair amount of paint being removed as I have a tinted clear. Judging by this, I would say the M205 is capable of removing some pretty decent sized defects.

I should have more on Sunday after I finish a black Passat.

Do you have to use a lot or just a little per panel to get good results???

As M205 starts to make it's way out into the hands of online detailers and enthusiast, and as then newly reformulated M105 also makes its way out into the hands of online detailers and enthusiast, this new tag team will become the benchmark all others will be compared to.

I was using less product than I normally would. I was really surprised to see how much color was on my pad and towels after doing a section.

In comprison. I liked to use Menzurna's Nano polish with the same pad on my FLEX. I saw far less color on my pad on towels with the Nano using the same process on my car. I also think the M205 was easier to work in, and it came off far easier than the Menzurna.

Looks like I have anther product (Nano) that will br collecting dust on my shelf.

Another thing I liked was the consistancy of the polish. It's thicker, sort of like the M105. I expected it to be more runny like M80.

                  Thanks!

No, I had them done shortly after I got the car. It's 30% tint....kinda wish I had gone a little darker now. When I decide to put my business logo on the back I will go to 20%.

That's one of my all time favorite cars there Rasky. I didn't know it was a single stage paint though. Nice to know now though!

                        Re: M205 first impression...

I just got done trying M205 on the rotary and I am completely blown away!

To start, I used a W8207 pad (primed using M205) and removed some decent swirl marks. The finish was out of this world. Just for fun, I tried it with a W9207 to see the results. Well, let me just say that the finish is absolutely fantastic!

I've used PO106FA and it finishes pretty fine. But, M205 finishes better by a huge margin and it is extremely easy to remove.

I haven't tried it on the DA, but I have some special pads coming in to try.

Does m205 appear to have any feeding oils?

I could be mistaken, but I think he was referring to the paint, not the windows.
