  • Swirl Free Polish Gone Bad!

I know there is a thread somewhere here about this and my intention was to post this there but could not find it.

Here is a portion of a gallon size M82 I have in my stash which I purchased from ADS less than a year ago, since its in a gallon I had to transfer some in another clean bottle so i could use it (like we all do), please note that this is what I do with all my professional line products and only the M82 turns like this. I have had a gallon of M80 & M83 for years now with no problems at all and I think my M09 is starting to do the same thing as the M82.

No it did not freeze and it was not exposed to severe heat, no freezing temperature here where I live, in fact the rest of the product in the gallon is still fine and good to go, this is not the first time this has happened to me with the M82 tried another bottle before and same thing happened.

Now, what is my point? Well, just want to let you guys know about this experience I'm having with M82 (and M09 I think, cant confirm yet) a good thing to do maybe is to buy the 32oz instead of the gallon to avoid transferring the contents in another bottle, well I really don't know or maybe Meguiar's will come up with a solution for this particular product in the future, I really don't know.

    Before giving it a shake.

After giving it a good shake.

After emptying the bottle there is this rock solid thing that is left in the bottom.

Best thing to do would be to call Customer Care at 1-800-347-5700 and if you can, please provide this information via our forum here,

Anyone having a problem with M82 turning watery, or any product quality issues, please share this with Meguiar's via the online form in the link below.

Posting about it on this discussion forum is great but if you want your experience to be known to management then PLEASE use the link below to and send your thoughts directly to management AND your information will be entered into a database that is tracked. That's the key word here, tracked. The database alerts management of spikes in product related issues and results in top priority action taking place.

Information on this discussion forum doesn't get tracked in a database like information sent to Meguiar's via the online form.

Thank you and here's the link...

Out of curiosity, what happens if you shake it up? does it mix together? Or stay apart?

It mixes together but not the way it should, refer to picture #2 in my first post.

Re: Swirl Free Polish Gone Bad!

We are having this trouble A LOT here in Mexico, we contacted Denko internacional as they are the national distributor, and they said: "is just normal the product still working all right even if is watery or changes his color" of course I know that is not true, but hey! that´s the only thing we can expect from Meguiars Mexico, same happening with the Hyper dressing, so1o backing plates are breaking...

I´m just sorry for what they are doing to the Meguiars name in here.

I had this happen with my 82 also, it DOES NOT work the same way. If you apply it to the pad, it does not stay on the surface, it goes through the pad. It also did not work like I was used to.

Re: Swirl Free Polish Gone Bad!

I got an email from Sydster today and we're looking into this. The one really curious thing is that the remainder of the product in the original packaging is still fine, which tells us that the product itself ought to be fine as well. Why only the quantity poured off into this bottle is going bad is puzzling. Is it an issue of a gas permeable bottle? Would that even be an issue?

In any event, we'll be in communication and will sort this out one way or another.
