Hey all,
Here a quick rundown on a small work done last weekend.
I had my rear tires changed and thought I gave the wheels a little clean up.
The wheels are Work Euroline. Lips are chromed and wheel face is diamond cut+clear on top.
I have tried all sort of car shampoo (AA, AG, BM, AW, DG, etc...I'm not dissing other manufacturers) before, tried washing them but the stain would not budge. So, finally after 2 years of having Megs WB, now only I decided to clean the wheels since its being taken off to change the tires on them. (lazy bum)
Here are the befores

From the before pics, there is alot of caked brake dust in the inner wheels. The problem is when you wash the car, the water gets trapped in those valley, therefore all the dust/contaminants gets trapped there.
So, I applied some WB (10:1 and 4:1), and use a wheel brush to clean it up. On 10:1 ratio, it was slow in cutting the grime. So up a notch, 4:1 did the job fast. Repeat cleaning on 4:1 ratio for 2 times, and all the grime was gone. Plus there were these annoying residues from double sided tapes from wheel balancing weights. Tried some rubbing alchohol and it managed to remove them.
But some black spots on the inner wheels were not moving even after all of those above steps. So, I just let them be.
Here are some after shots:

** There is no Last Touch bottle in that size. I just reused old QD bottle, paste up my own pics.
And I had another shot of testing the #105 compound.
On the wheel face, there were lots of swirls and also sanding marks (previous test gone bad). So I grab a hi tech applicator, put a 2 pea size drops of #105 and started to work it in. Constant pressure and working it like Scratch X. After wiping it off, to my amaze the sanding marks were gone. Its gone and all done by hand. I'm again impressed. So just to make sure it was gone, I gave it IPA wipedown and repeat the process one more time.
---- And this is what I get:

The outcome was not perfect BUT its FAR better than before. (sorry no befores on the wheel face)
Satisfied with the results, I gave the wheel (inside and out) 3 coats of #21 2.0 with application interval of 12 hours per coat.
Total working hours - 2 days (relaxed mode)
There you go. I'm open to comments and advises.
Thanks for viewing.
