    need to pick some prodcuts

    hmm can anyone lead me in the right Direction...I bought a pc with 8006's and 9006's. Now I need to find a line of products that will help me just protect cars with no scratches. I also need a line up with some good light to medium scratch and swirl removal for some cars. I found some products and how is this line up?


    #83 for harder swirls etc. then..
    #80 then
    #9 then
    and to finish it off #21? or 26?

    this would be for cars with light to medium swirls and scratches.. would this work?

    Could I just use #21 or #26 on cars after washing for just a quick protectant? and help would be greatly appreciated.

    Well, I think most who detail for a living would go with #83 if needed, then #80, then wax, and just skip the #9 unless the situation really called for it.

    And for just a quick wash and wax, #66 would often be used.

    There would be nothing technically wrong with just going from a wash straight to a wax, but most customers cars could usualy use the extra cleaning from a cleaner/wax.

      My vehicles are in great shape and I keep them that way with clay 1-2 times a year and protect with #21 3-4 times per year. I may precede the #21 with Cleaner Wax in the Spring if I'm worried about road grit. During the summer I wash the vehicles weekly and sometimes dust 'em off with NXT Speed or Ultimate Quik Detailer.

      I use the clay and #21 on the clear coat alloy wheels too. Then just wash them as you do your body paint--no wheel cleaners.

      I have #80 and #83 on hand but haven't needed yet on the newer cars, only on my kids' cars.

        For cars with no scratches or swirls, get some M21 2.0 - Purchase the 64 ounce jug

        For cars with swirls and scratches, get some M66 Quick Detailer - 1-Gallon jug and get some pour off squeeze bottles.

        If you're going to do dedicated swirl removal steps using products like our cleaner/polishes, then have some M83, M80 and M82 on hand and be sure to charge for the extra step which equates to extra time invested in the job.

          few more questions... I'm starting to go crazy looking at all megs product numbers!! lol

          MURR- what is a good wax to use after #80? also what is a good cleaner/wax? so this cleans contaminants and wax at the same time?

          Hag- fan was is the normal process you use on your kids cars?

              Ok LAST question!!!

              hmm also is their a megs product chart that has its products broken down into categories of what they actually do? such as,

              Polish
              Cleaner
              wax
              etc etc...

                  awesome lilblk!!Keep on jeeping on!! thats what I was looking for. simple to read! nice work who ever made that excel chart! nice Filter options too!

                  So now I'm curious. I'm going to give you a few descriptions of cars what products would you use to get it to look as best as you can...I only have a pc remember..

                  Car 1) Car has no scratches relatively new. Client wants car washed and waxed?

                  Car 2) Car has a few scratches and cob webs. Client wants car washed, waxed, and scratches remover?

                  Car 3) car has medium scratches and cob webs. Client wants car washed, waxed, and scratches removed. wants car to have show room quality. or as close to it as possible?
