  • ScratchX Results

    Hi,

I have had my Tube of ScratchX for a while in the closit. I have used it to clean a door, I have used it on headlights before having PlastX... I have used ti to remove some smear on my car... lately, I put it in my glove box.

However, nothing has impressed me like what happened today.

I was over at a friends (actually co-worker's) house watching a video and he showed me his girfriend's car. It had this long dark line that ran down the car from the mirror. Obviously, everytime they washed it and didn't get it all the way dry or waxed, the water from the mirror ran down the side of the car making a discoloration.

He took it to a detailer who quoted $150 and said it would require a buffing with special compounds. He took it to another that quoted $80.

I took out Quik Detailer and one of his terry cloth towels and cleaned the entire pannel becuase I wasn't going to wash his car. Now, I flipped to the back side and pulled out my scratch X. In about 3 applications each with a lot of passion enough to compltely breakdown the product, it was all gone. The line had been removed on one side in about 5 minutes of solid work. It actually took a full 5 minutes of passion, but it worked. He reminded me that the other side had the same problem. I handed him the Towel, Quik Detailer, and the ScratchX. I told him to use no passion when using Quik Detailer, just get the dirt off without leaving scratches. Then I explained to use Great Passion with ScratchX.

Next, I had him Quik Detail then use his Tech Wax I gave him on employee apreciation / wackey gift exchange day. I explained that ScratchX will remove all wax, and you must always re-wax any area you work on becuase the paint is compltely bare. You have nothing but an unblemished clear coat exposed to nature.

At lunch today, we picked up a burger and fries. He disappeared for about 5 minutes. I saw he had just come from Autozone with ScratchX, and Quik Detailer.

He told me that he is going to use the Quik Detailer after every wash to remove any runs or drips.. He said he bought the ScratchX for small touch ups.

Next week, I am going to teach him to remove swirls and cob-webs with ScratchX. I also plan to teach him the importance of washing with only the cleanest of mitts and using 2 buckets and I am going to give him a bottle of Quik Wax. If I am just washing, I always do Quik Wax.

He is so eager to learn and just amazed at the results he can obtain. He thanked me for saving him $80. I told him that he did $60 of the work in 15 minutes and then even rewaxed the area. Best of all, he realized it was his first time ever using a paint cleaner and he got the best of results. He is a natural.
