Booster Wax or Speed Detailer

I applied the NXT liquid wax to my new Harley, and as it does not really get dirty, just a little dusty, I use the Speed Detailer after a ride.

Now, I am a nut with cleaning, etc., but is there any reason to use the Booster Wax over the Speed Detailer since the Speed Detailer seems to put a nice additional shine on the paint & a clean bright look to the chrome. Also, the Speed Detailer wording states it adds a little polymer protection.

While Meguiar's Speed Detailer does a great job of adding gloss and restoring that just detailed look to painted finishes, a discerning eye can see the additional clarity, darkness and richness of color our spray waxes will add to a finish already in great condition with a good basecoat of wax already on them.

Because your bike's painted areas are so much smaller compared to a car, truck or s.u.v., you and other people might not see that big of a difference. As such, you might want to skip this product and step. That said, once you step up to larger areas, like working on a black Suburban, the results between a quick detailer and a spray on wax can be much more discernible and dramatic.

Your choice. If you decide to try it, remember to give the spray wax a good shake before using, I tend to spray one pump out of the bottle to clear the passages before spraying onto my applicator. Then apply using either a foam applicator pad, or something like our new microfiber Evan Coat Applicators and apply the spray wax directly onto the pad and then from the pad onto painted surfaces. Allow the wax to dry to a haze and then remove using a clean, soft polishing cloth.

Since the chrome is new on the bike, is the Speed Detailer a good choice for that? Most of the chrome is engine / exhaust related and gets very hot, so I figured a wax may not be a good choice for the chrome.

By the way, my bike is Lava Red metallic, and the NXT wax & Detailer have it looking fantastic, so would I just do a second coat of the NXT liquid wax, or is there something special with the Booster Wax?
