  • Chenille wrapped sponge, chenille mitt; some notes

    Now THESE are nice.

The sponge: If you use this son of a gun, you'd better start with a 5 gallon bucket; it must hold a quart of water! What the sponge is good for is those really dirty areas on the car from the beltline down. Fill that thing up with water and squeeze it slightly and progressively as you go along the paint; it will remove dirt and lubricate and "rinse" at the same time.

The mitt also holds a lot of water, and has the advantage of water flow-through that the sheepskin mitts do not.

Both do a nice job of wicking water away from the surface and both are very soft.

These are excellent alternatives to the sheepskin mitts.

As the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way.
