Quick update on my personal car.

Week 1 after application it was washed with D114. A couple days later it was rained on.

Week 2 received a bucket wash with D110 Hyper Wash.

I started off by rinsing it off and the beading looked good. The sheeting looked very good as well.

I had to use my fireman's nozzle as my trigger nozzle broke.

I finished by washing with D110 Hyper Wash. The beading and sheeting was unaltered.

After 2 weeks I have to say that UFF has been impressive. The paint stayed cleaner in between washes. It does not attract a lot of dust. The self cleaning effect is working well. The beading and sheeting is holding up quite well.

I had a couple of bird bombs and I used some D114 that I have in a spray bottle to remove them. The bird bombs came off as soon as I sprayed them down. No etching onto the paint.

    Thanks for the review Michael.

I found that goes on & off so quickly that it's sometimes hard to tell where you've already applied.

I applied it to the DD about 2 months ago and it's still going strong..

I ended up using it on my car today. I did not do any prep to it as far as claying or polishing. I did soak the car in carpro ironx snow foam which degraded what was on the paint which was opti-seal. It was a couple months old.

Now don't get all hyped up because this is not going to be a long test. It's a short test. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 2-3 weeks until I use the Sonax CC36 coating that Meghan sent me.

I was done applying it in about 5 mins. Stuff goes on and off quick. Left a good shine and slickness.

Now to see if Meguiars Aus. will bring UFF over here. I can't order it myself from the States, as it's an aerosol and they won't ship them.

Have you seen any durability reviews for UFF yet? If it really lasts the same or longer than PP365, then it makes that product a bit obsolete IMO.
I have not seen any. The product is still new.

It's definitely easier to apply that PP365. It also takes less time to apply.

Sure thing Nick. I may have an actual car to be putting this on soon if things work out.

Do you have any feel for how many cars one can will do?

Or along the same line, how it may work compared to UQW for after a wash? Esp around now, when the washes and waxing are less frequent....
    Thanks.

Should work just fine if using after a wash.

If someone is planning to use this as a drying aid, I would be hesitant to waste it in that manner as it is not cost effective. Not to mention I don't know how it would play with water still on the surface. I would stick with a detail spray or spray wax as a drying aid.

Nick posted this comment and I would tend to agree with his statement. I would say 6 would be pushing it. Larger vehicles like and SUV maybe 2-3 applications. I used very little and it went a long way.

I'm quite happy with the PP365 so far. Both cars were done in mid-November and both haven't been washed in over a month. We've had a few snows, up to 4" at a time and temps down into the single digits. My local municipality has been very generous with both salt and liquid chemical application. If the damn sun ever shines, I'll try and get a picture, maybe this weekend, as temps are supposed to moderate for a few days, possibly enough for some wash jobs. What I'm impressed with so far is PP365's self-cleaning properties. A snowfall comes, so we get a bunch of salt, then after a bit of rain the cars look obviously dirty, but not crusty like you'd expect. On the Fit, the appearance reminds me of a few years ago when I Opticoated it.
If we do get some decent temps this weekend, I'll wash 'em both and tag onto the thread I started back in November when I did the original application.

On my black Lacrosse, which gets washed virtually every Saturday before work, I applied PP365 to all the door jambs and Sonax Gummi Phledge to all the weatherstrips, even though it's wearing conventional sealants (DG105 and 111) on the exterior. Haven't had to deal with a frozen stuck door yet.

    Bill
