  • NXT Wax Question

I can't seem to get an exact answer on this topic. I believe the new NXT series of wax has both polishing oils and cleaners. Can anyone verify this one way or the other?

I did call Meguiars tech help and got sort of a yes but however answer.

From my personal experience, it contacts cleaner and some oil. You can search using the keyword to find information of NXT.

Well, the ywere right, it is a yes but however answer.

The wax contains just enough cleaners to prep the surface for some application if a wee little bit of dust was there, and just enough oils to give some of the added looks we all like. However, both are just a little, and are in no way a substitute for a cleaner, a polish, or a dedicated cleaner wax.

NXT Tech Wax contains a sleight amount of a specialized cleaners, like Murr1525 stated, not enough to make it a true cleaner/wax as a few on other forums would have you believe for their own agenda. It contains even less polishing oils, the majority of the results are the effect of the engineered synthetic polymers.

My questions are because I spent some money on a custom motorcycle I have wanted all my life. It is based on a Honda Shadow Aero. I have some custom synthetic material fenderes and body panels. They have a true metalflake finish. The man who painted them said to be sure to not use any wax, polish, or other paint prep material that had any type of cleaners as they could cause the metalflakes to dislodge from the paint. He recommended Deep Crystal Carnauba wax.

This motorcycle gets detailed every time it is taken out. It gets waxed after every second detail. I love the way the NXT looks on my wife's car and I like the idea of the protection it gives. I just wonder if it had enough cleaners to make it unsafe to use on my motorcycle

Well, personaly I would bet there is more cleaning power from rubbing the wax on the surface than there is in the wax itself. I would think GoldCLass could work as well as the Deep Crystal, and Nxt, as none have any sort of strong cleaners, but I'll let Mike give a professional opinion.
