    I've heard that, I actually bought a box of dryer sheets a while ago but then forgot about them and bought the bug sponge. Walmart has bug sponges for $1.50. They work well and I haven't noticed any paint marring. I think the key is to keep them very wet and be gentle when scrubbing.

      Can APC+ be safely used as a bug and tar remover? If so, what is the best dilution ratio?

        Yeah, APC or APC + would be fine. Can just use the regular ratios, 10:1 or 4:1.
