I suppose that is why Nxt is often a base, and then topped with Gold Class, or #26, etc.
I have to ask...where are you getting your information??????

Also, then why bother with the NXT (if) infact the "Gold Class Wax" is doing all the paint surface protection?????

I just purchasd the NXT, the box clearly states it offers "extream protection and Gloss NOW in ONE formula"!

Heck, I could have saver $5.00 and bought the Gold Class wax and saved alot of work...no?

Ya see this is where "Marketing Hype" takes our mones out of our pockets...and puts it in the manufactures.

I knew I shuld have just used the rest of the Turtle Wax I had laying around for 20 years!

      Hey, whatever floats your boat!

Some like GC better, but most people I know that have used both prefer NXT. For me NXT offers better protection, and yes even better protection than Turtle Wax.

I know the feeling exactly! Looks great by the way! This past April, (if I remember correctly), I detailed a friend's '97 E320 using the liquid variety of NXT. I bumped into my friend and his wife last weekend at a local comunity event and his wife immediately commented that the recent rains on her car's finish is still beading up as if the wax had been applied yesterday. A true testament to the product Meguiars provides!

That's just the uniformed or willfully ignorant posting misinformation for their own nefarious reasons. Whenever you read stuff like that, pay attention to who posted it and usually you can see a pattern in their posts that show they have a bias for or against some products. Then in the future, anytime that person posts something, you'll be aware of their posting history and this will help you to either pay attention to them or completely ignore them.

NXT Tech Wax does contain some cleaners in it, but very, very little. For example, Meguiar's Cleaner/Wax in the maroon bottle is a very gentle cleaner wax, as in it's only intended to be used on light oxidation and other defects, it's not formulated to be used on severely neglected finishes, this would be the job for a strong cleaner/wax like ColorX. NXT Tech wax is nowhere near even being close to Meguiar's Cleaner/Wax and Meguiar's Cleaner/Wax is gentle... so what's that make Tech Wax?

The enemy is always trying to make NXT Tech Wax sound like a rubbing compound, when you see someone on another forum trying to position it that way, you can know they have no credibility.

            Surprising Observation

I recently waxed my wheels with NXT. During the same detailing session I waxed some lower body panels after major some tar removal. My original plan was to use the NXT Paste on the body panels, and the Liquid on the wheels. I figured with the liquid it would be easier to get into all the crevices on the wheels.

However, I found myself applying the paste to one of the wheels. I had waxed 2 spokes on that wheel with the paste before I realized what I was doing and switched to the liquid.

The paste set up very quickly and was easier to use on the wheels than I thought. But still the liquid is easier to use on the wheels as it can be applied into the crevices more easily.

After I waxed the wheels, we had a lot of rain here in central Indiana, along with a lot of heat and humidity, so I couldn't wash my car for two weeks. So the wheels had a good chance to accumulate dirt and brake dust.

On the wheel that was waxed with the paste on two spokes and liquid on the other three, I noticed a difference in the amount of dirt and brake dust that had accumulated. There was noticeably less dirt on the spokes that had the paste wax on them. Not a monumental difference but still noticeable.

In the following pictures the two spokes in the upper right quadrant were the ones that had the NXT Paste Wax applied, and the others had the Liquid on them.

This picture was taken with the flash.

This picture was taken without the flash.

Just an interesting observation I thought. The wheels were definitely easier to clean with the NXT on them. Once they are clean, it is hard to tell which is the liquid and which is the paste.

Whats funny is after 2 weeks you actually remember which spokes has liquid vs paste on them...
