  • Ultra Plush Wash Mitt and Body Duster review

    Packaging & Labeling:

The packaging was nice and the instructions clear and concise.

    Performance:

While I was impressed with the softness of the mitt and how well it cleaned the surface, I was NOT impressed with all of the lint that was left behind. It was a good thing I had the Body Duster to pick up the leftover lint that was left on the surface of my super picky sisters black Lexus. I did like how compact the Body Duster became once the handle was removed. This makes it easy for me to carry it along with all the other stuff that I have collected. I will find out soon how many washes it takes for the lint problem to go away with the Wash Mitt and then decide if I will continue to use it or purchase more of them.

    Value:

The price is right but the lint issue needs to be addressed.

    Conclusions:

The Body Duster will go where I go as it works just as promised. My mind isn't made up yet for the Wash Mitt.

    Pros:
The Mitt is soft and plush and holds a good amount of wash solution. It does a very good job of removing dust/dirt from the surface without scratching the paint. The Body Duster should be called the "dust magnet" as it seemed to magically lift dust from the paint that is wasn't in contact with.

    Cons:
    Way too much lint.

Did you go online to buy the duster, or did you get it locally?

I should add that I am a product reviewer and was given these products to review.

If I paid money for the Wash Mitt, I would return it at this point. It's too much trouble to have to "break in" products before you can get good use from them.

How was the overall build quality of the body duster? If you have an OXO or CCD, can you give a side-by-side of the two? I have absolutely love my CCD, but if the body duster performs better I'll pick it up for my dad.

I do have a CCD but it's the plastic one and I feel inferior to the Meguiar's BD in build quality. I would compare it more to the wood handled CCD as the Meguiar's BD has better balance it seems and is much easier to store because the handle comes off. I would do a side by side but the trash man has already come and taken my CCD away.

I had similar experience with Chenille wash mitt, first 2 wash were pretty bad.
I had to clean lint from wash mitt, but after 3rd wash I had much less problem with lint.
I think you need to give break-in time to Chenille mitt, overall I am very happy with it.

I did not experience a lint problem with the wash mitt. Not even on the first use.

I'm curious............Is the chenille wash mitt made out of cotton, or is it synthetic?
