    Hey iplayazi

    Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

Here is a link to an article that explains how to use ScratchX properly to remove paint defects.

    I hope this helps!

Anytime you touch the paint, the potentially exists to scratch it. This is why it is so important to be mindful of how you touch your paint, or let anyone else touch your paint.

If he leans against your fenders or doors, sets things on the hood or deck lid, or anyone else in the shop, or in and around the car is careless and disrespectful, you could end up with unwanted scratches.

His belt or coveralls was rubbing on the side exterior when he was probably measuring the window outside. Really its not a big deal but everything shows on black! Gonna cover up with scratchx this weekend.

Ooh... don't cover-up, remove, then apply some wax as ScratchX isn't a wax, it's a paint cleaner.

In Meguiar's terminology, a paint cleaner is a modern and intelligent substitute for an old fashioned rubbing, or polishing compound. Meguiar's paint cleaners, as well as compounds and cleaner/polishes utilize diminishing abrasive to safely and effectively remove below surface defects without instilling scratches at the same time.
