Have you ever used the CA Car Cover duster? I was wondering how it compared to the OXO. I am definitely interested in the Meguiars version.

When I had the Ca. Duster I always followed up with a QD an detailing cloth very nice results....Can't wait for the Meguiars duster though

This is the time of year for the dusters, with all the pollen in the air; there's so much here that I wouldn't even trust Quik Detailer to remove it without marring. I brushed my fingertips over the paint on the red car and it was swirl city over a 3 inch square! The dusters work through static electricity; you aren't brushing the dust off, rather the pollen jumps up into the fibers.

Currently it's not available through Meguiar's direct, it appears to be available through some of our distribution partners however.

I have not head yet when it will be available through Meguiar's direct.

I don't have the Meguiars duster, but I've been using the Cali ones for years and years. I get a new one every few years and demote the old ones to "tire and wheel" duty. I dust my black Q45 daily with one, and spray detail it every other day or so. I'm using NXT quick detailer right now and I like it allot, prior to NXT I used Adams or the classic Meguiars. I only actually wash the car with water every other week although I spend almost the same time on the weekend dusting and quick detailing.

One way to clean them is to use a shop vacuum; hold the end of the vacuum hose to the fiber strands of the duster and you can remove some of the built up dust and dirt out of the fibers. Not perfect but sometimes something is better than nothing.
