  • NXT Tech Wax Paste

    Packaging & Labeling:

Easily identifiable as part of the NXT family. Comes in a nice sized can and includes a NXT foam applicator.

    Usage Tips/Directions:

The directions on the back label were very good and simple to understand. All precautions are clearly marked. The only thing I could suggest is that the label includes the best wait time before buffing off the Paste Wax.

    Performance:

The product worked very well and as advertised. The can is a nice size to hold in one hand while the applicator in the other. The product goes onto the pad very easily and is of the right texture. Spreading the product is easy and it takes very little to do a section of the car. In my opinion it easier to see the paste version on the vehicle over that of the liquid. I like the paste much better.

I used this product with the applicator included and the pad appears to safe for the finish and did not cake up with the paste.

I let the product sit for 10 minutes @ 17 degrees Celsius in the shade. It sets up much faster than the liquid version.

It wipes off very easily and leaves no streaks. It did dust a little in some areas but I feel that these areas were my starting point and I might have applied too much product.

I had some minor swirls and cobwebs that I induced upon my finish to test the products ability to remove/hide/fill them, and it did a very good job. They are filled well ;-)

I also think the paste version gives a better result. I have used NXT liquid for some time, but found the paste to leave the finish much deeper, darker and wetter looking.

I purposely wiped some on an area of my trim and found it to be easy to wipe off with no ugly stains on the trim. I did wipe it off within 30 seconds.

    Value:

The NXT Paste Wax provides very excellent value and will perform with superb results on vehicles of all color, but especially the dark colors.

It took very little product to do up the car and I believe the paste version offers more in respect to the final look.

    f1guy68,

    Nice review!

Just curious... did you do a side-by-side with the NXT liquid wax? I'm out of my sample of the liquid and was wondering if anybody has done so?

      Boss_429,

      Thank You.

I was out of the liquid version so I did not have a chance to do side by side.

Perhaps I will pick some up and do this test. Good Idea!

No side by side test, but on my black Hemi the paste wax appeared to make the finish "deeper, darker and wetter" than the liquid wax did. Both are great products. Liquid wax for machine application and paste wax for hand application. Both procedures take about the same amount of time.
