  • New Interior QD blows my mind. Along with every other 2005 product I've tried so far

I love this stuff. And I have no problem writing a bad or lukewarm review.

First, watch what it does, watch how it sprays. It's like charged water; the droplets are attracted to whatever surface you are spraying it towards. And that's a nice spray head, it really atomizes the stuff.

Second, it seems like it's not there, even when it's there. You hit it with a mf towel, and poof! It's gone! No streaking, no second pass; just gone!

Third; to me, it's like magic. It's like spraying the original interior back into your car. No extra shine, no dirt, no marring, no hand prints, just that "brand new" look (well, ok, my car's only two months old). Others have reported a slight sheen; I really see none. They might have the sheen from a previous product. My dash was matte before, and it's matte now.

Fourth, an echo of what someone else wrote; no problems with greasy streaking on the windshield. Overspray, if any, wipes off cleanly. That's a really big deal to me.

I used this on both hard and soft plastic and vinyl trim, and had none of the issues reported by others here, no chalky residue. I'd guess that the product is reacting with some other product that is already on that surface.

I'm really, really impressed by the new consumer line, all the way. This stuff is thinking outside the box. These are truly different products, optimized for home use in the best interpretation of what that means; they aren't professional products compromised for home use, and they aren't bulk products beefed up a little bit for discriminating home users. They are products that are specifically designed for people that some call "car crazy", some call "autopian", some call "zealots". Job well done!

    another great review.
so do you think this can take the place of say #40 on your interior, or is this more of a in between sessions of #40, like a outside QD would be used?

I use it between full details on my truck. So yeah, use it between #40 applications.

I love the flat, clean look; for me, on this car, it's taking the place of #40. Maybe on the Miata I'll stay with the shiny look.

I'm with ya on this one Tom... I also really like the stuff.

I love how it applies... no streaks!
I love how well it cleans!
            I love the matte finish!
I love how little dust it attracts.

            This one was a "sleeper"!

Does anyone know if it has any uv protection. or would you have to use something else for that.

              Thanks

I thought the QD was ok, I like products that leave a little sheen like #40.

                      Hey Mosca,

                      Very nice review!

I too like the Quik Interior Detailer as it leaves that "new" car look!

                      Cheers!

The more I use the interior QD the more I like it. Just the scent alone is enough! Very clean smell.

What I really like is it works fine on leather and vinyl-a real big help when doing a vehicle like an Escalade with leather faced seating but vinyl armrests and back. No changing products and no difference in sheen betweeh the two.

I agree with Tom, any shine is very minimal. What you end up with is a very clean, new looking surface. It did a wonderful job on the (mostly) leather interior of an S600 I detailed today. The interior looked brand new with no artificial shine.

I'd also like to see a gallon sized version made available.
