        Re: Better cleaner

SwirlX, ScratchX or Ultimate Compound are a few that can be used by hand. Their aggressiveness is in that order from least to most. I'd hesitate to suggest using them on the whole car without a DA buffer unless you plan on doing a section at a time. This stuff is not applied like a cleaner/wax. You work it over small 1' x 1' sections at a time with a foam pad then remove it while it is still wet. If you goal is to remove swirls over your whole car in this manner, better buy a couple tubes of BenGay as well.

As far as those All-In-Ones go ColorX is the most aggressive. If you are working by hand you might just want to stick with ColorX. Using the other products by hand is painful just to think about.

If you are planning on removing swirls and scratches by hand using one of the products I would say save your money and buy a DA. By the time you are done doing it by hand you will start all over because it will take you wks.

                Re: Better cleaner

IMO, on a new car you probably don't need a cleaner wax. I'd recommend Ultimate Liquid Wax for better protection and I'd also suggest a bottle of Ultimate Quik Wax (UQW) and use it after every wash. I'd also suggest buying a new wash mitt and a couple microfiber drying towels to avoid introducing swirls when washing and drying. If your car is just dusty, a bottle of Ultimate Quik Detailler (UQD) is all you need. With a little care, and good process, you can keep it looking like a new car for a long time.
