I think Megs Colorx is a great product,it does what it says it will do (boost colors, and remove minor scratches) I used it on both of my cars (one is white, now it looks even whiter and the other is blue,it gave the blue a deeper tone.)
    and both a higher gloss.

      Hi Mike,

If you have only 1 choice to pick between ColourX or #80 Speed glaze, which product will you select to clean your car. All the works are to be done by hand only because no machine is available...

      Thanks

2 1/2 months ago I put on Color X on my sons 1989 Nissan Sentra. The car looked like it was never waxed. I did the car by hand 2 times and a third time on the hood , roof , and trunk, The car came out great and it still looks good and still beads. When people ask me what to use on there cars , I tell them Color X on older cars and NXT on new cars, or use them both, Color X to prep paint and NXT to seal it.

          Hi sky8811,

Let's hope it never comes to a place in time where I can only choose one Meguiar's product to maintain my cars!

If I had to choose between #80 Speed Glaze or ColorX I would choose ColorX.

I love the #80 Speed Glaze for a lot of reasons, but if I could only have one product then I would go with the ColorX because it's an All-in-one type product. It offers excellent cleaning, polishing and protecting in one easy to use product. It will work to restore neglected finishes by hand or machine, yet it can also be used to maintain finishes in good toe excellent condition because while it's a powerful cleaner/wax, it's also a safe cleaner/wax.

            Hi Mike,

Thanks for your reply. Guess this is what I'll do this weekend:

            1. wash with NXT wash
            2. clay
            3. colourX (if time allow, will add #80)
            4. 2 coats of NXT

                Hi rcknit,

For the past few weeks, I've try out ColorX & NXT vs #80 & NXT.
Overall, I prefer #80 & NXT on my silver color...
The finishing for #80 & NXT looks more wet compare to ColorX & NXT...

I think color x would be good for those days that I dont want to polish and then seal with NXT. It's a good all in one, and the best part is that it work by hand or with my meguiars orbital.

                    ColorX work!

Over the weekend I detailed ugly beatup Hyundai SUV with maroon and silver in color.
I clayed whole body, then run #83 on hood only, after that I applied ColorX, whoala!!
Bright maroon and silver color were restored, SUV never looked that great.
I really impressed about ColorX, save my time as well
