I picked up the Headlight Restoration kit to see if it would improve the clarity of the headlights on my wife's 2006 Toyota Corolla. He car has sat outside since it was purchased new in May 2006. The headlights have developed a haze, which is surprising considering how new the car is. Her mother's car, purchased the same day, identical in every way, and next in sequence on the VIN number, has spent much of it's life in the garage and the headlights still look new.
It took about 30 minutes to complete both headlights. I'm very happy with the results. While they are not perfect like new headlights, they are greatly improved. There is still some minor cloudiness caused from the damaged UV coating on the lenses. I tried concentrating my efforts on those areas, but it didn't seem to improve any more than the initial application. Again, this is only minor and not really noticeable unless you are looking for it up close.
I only used the items in the kit along with a 12v DeWalt cordless drill.
