I have not used it on a somewhat wet car, drat, I should have tested it out yesterday evening. I washed my car then my room mates car.

Then went an applied UQW afterwards...

Next time I will try it, see what happens. I have read where some mist the panel with UQD when drying and that works well, along with Last Touch

You guys who are using UQW after a wash, are you doing so on a wet or semi-wet vehicle?

I remember reading a thread here which said you could. I just don't see the point in drying the car first and then applying UQW, when you can do it all in one step.

I have not used my bottle of Duragloss Aquawax (another great spray on wax) since I got the UQW. It is sooo easy to use, is quick to use (hence the name) and leaves a nice shiny, protected surface to the existing wax already on the vehicle.

Does UQW have lubricating properties that would enable it to be used safely as a QD type product, or would you have to do a two-step QD with UQD/QD and then the UQW?

UQD and UQW are two different products with two different functions. UQW is not designed to function as a quick detail spray; it's a spray wax that needs to be applied to a clean surface. Use it after you have washed your car. UQD is a detail spray designed to safely remove dust and loose contaminants.

Until the introduction of UQW, a lot of us used UQD immediately after washing our cars, as it leaves behind a little extra slickness and gloss; but I suspect that UQW is not replacing UQD for this purpose. UQW is as easy to use as UQD and it supplies real protection and significant gloss. Both products employ Meguiar's Hydrophobic Polymer Technology.

How is it compared to the NXT Spray Wax?

in my experience the NXT wipes on almost like the regular liquid NXT wax. ( ver1 not the new one).

UQW wipes on and off almost like regular UQD but leaves shine like most other conventional waxes ive used.

Here's another vote for Ultimate Quick Wax. I've been using Klasse AIO and Klasse Sealant Glaze as my LSP on my '08 flame red Jeep Wrangler. I washed it yesterday and added some UQW. Wow, it really deepened the shine. I thought I liked the look of a sealant more than a wax, but the UQW really made the surface slick and wet looking. It took about 5 minutes to do the whole vehicle. And after it rained, I still have no water spots. Before using it I would always get water spots, even though my last coat of Klasse SG was applied less than a month ago. I'm now a believer since it helps the Jeep stay clean looking, much better than without it. It doesn't have as much of the sterile shiny plastic look as the Klasse products do on their own (I actually like that look on a newer vehicle) but it's very nice in its own way.

My wife has an '08 silver Dodge Caliber and I used the Klasse products on it too. Parked next to each other you can clearly see which vehicle had the UQW added. It'll be interesting to see how long it lasts, but it's simple enough to do after every wash if you wanted to.

Sadly, in my country(Indonesia), UQW only last for less than 1 week, because I can wash my car 2-3times a week. Lots of dust and almost everyday were raining.

I'll let Al answer from his experience, but I did confirmed (video) testing and had substantial protection left after several days of heavy San Diego acid rain (first rain in a long time always is), and 3 weeks time. I would say it was still at 70-80%~ strength. I had also washed the vehicle a couple times in the 3 weeks as

Yeah, nice review...yours (along with a few others I found on the site) persuaded me to try UQW. I was looking for a 3rd bottle of product to meet the current "buy 3, get one free..." offer, and decided to give it a try after doing a little research. Tried it for the 1st time yesterday, it was actually my 1st time EVER trying a spray wax product! Well, now I'm definitely spoiled, I don't think I would ever try any others after this, it's sooo easy to use and delivers results as promised. Used it on the girlfriend's car, a medium gray Mazda, which was last waxed about 2 months ago. Brought back a nice glossy, slick appearance to it. What's funny was that she was kinda hestitant to do it, she heard the word "wax" and envisioned another hour (or more) spent outside in the hot sun, trying to get in/out of every nook and cranny. Once we finished of course she was like "oh, that's it?" and was also impressed with the results. Next up will be my black Honda, that'll be the true test! It makes the OP's black S2000 look good, so I'm sure my measly Civic will be just fine though!!
