How well does it layer?

My guess is that no one knows. I do not imagine that accurate measurement is easily done. I see so much talk about sealant layering on the internet, yet no one seems able to produce scientific data to support conclusions one way or the other.

But if I were hoping to successfully layer UQW, I would wait 12 hours between coats ...

I almost can't bring myself to bust out the Nxt paste as often with this new UQW! Now even the Quik Wax in burgundy bottle seems too hard to work with!

UQW really a great product. I was apply it yesterday all around the cars. After this afternoon, the rains drop(around 2PM, Indonesian time). Until now(10PM), the water still beading all around the car. Like they can't dry.

What a great product.

Awesome thread, thank you very much for taking the time to share you thoughts on this product with us. I too use UQW after every wash on both of our cars, and like you say, its just too easy to use.

Al, what happened to you in your driveway, happened to me and my father in our driveway. My Dad backed up his 89 Legend into my 90 Stanza (This was in 1990 and my car was less than 6 months old). Apparently he was in a hurry, and forgot my car was in the driveway. He backed right into it.

He came running into the house, yelled my name and said, "I hit your car!" I thought he was joking. The damage seemed minimal, but it was amazing that between the two of us, the damages were well over $1,000. The adjuster who showed up got a kick out of it (we both have the same insurance company), but said it's not uncommon.

I could see folks applying it to their vehicles after every wash

I do just that. I use to apply UQD after every wash, but I feel that UQW leaves a better looking, better feeling, and better protecting surface w/ the same effort as before. One of my vehicles (Jeep Grand Cherokee) is parked outside 24/7, so I apply the UQW to the trim (lots of it) to protect it as well. I'm 1/2 way through my first bottle, and the northern VT detailing season is only 1 month old
