As I mentioned, I used this during the detail of my SIL's Buick. The leather seats in her car were pretty bad, I didn't realise just how bad they were until I cleaned them.
I found that the GCRLAC seems to use an emulsifying process, dissolving the dirt embedded in the leather. The cleaners are so strong in fact that when I spilled a few drops on an uncleaned area, by the time I wiped them up, they had made a clean spot on the leather.
I tried using the terry cloth method, but I found that it didn't put down enough product to eat through the years of built up crud. I ended up using a medium bristled brush to apply the cleaner to the leather, then I let it sit as I began another area. Then I took a scrubber pad with more cleaner applied and went back over the area focusing on the creases and textured areas.
When I was finished scrubbing, I took a terry towel and wiped the area down. I only had to go to this extreme on the actual seating surface where there was a lot of texture/creases. The areas of smooth leather were far easier.
