  • My take on Gold Class Liquid Wax

    Hello everyone,

Today i got the chance to use Gold Class Liquid Wax.

    Product:

I do not use the wax often and this is probably the second or third time I have used it and I was vey suprised by its performance and the look it gives. I especially like the look it gives on this black truck in paticular. I can now say i will be using this product more often. I actually think Gold Class Liquid Wax looks a little bit better than NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 and i prefer Gold Class's look a tad bit beter. However, NXT 2.0 has the exta bells and whistles like Hydrophobic Polymer Technology, easier application and removal, but i still like both waxes and this sort of thing is personal preference.

    Pictures:

I think Gold Class Liquid Wax looks great on this truck and I will continue to use it on this vechile.

On a side note, I was able to squeeze in time for my Silverado. being that it is a holiday tomorrow, it had to looks its best for when company comes over. I just did a simple wash with Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner and dressed the tires with Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Gel. I really am thinking about switching over to Gold Class Liquid Wax for my truck but i cannot and probably never will make up my mind.

    Pictures:

    See you guys later.

I am all about my car looking good when I am taking a trip or having other ride in it, but having it clean for company at the house is a new level. I certainly can't argue with it, but it is another level. Looks good.

On another note, I also have some GC sitting around that I haven't used in a while and was hoping to get back to this summer. I think that NXT 2.0's durability is what keeps me going back to that. Either way both are wonderful.

Glad to see you have found something you like

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

        I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
        Remove swirls my friends.

Could not agree with you more about Gold class wax. It was one of the products that got me hooked on Meguiars. Both vehicles look great.

Your work looks great. If you use gold class on Milano Red (honda/acura) the results are outstanding. That red looks bright and rich at the same time with GC.

Tuck, how do you like that Sequoia? I'm thinking of trading up in the future.

It is a 2004 and it has 115,000 miles on it and it still runs strong and it has never had any mechanical problems or been in the shop for anything. My only compliant is the ugly interior and its a real pain to detail the roof. But I like my Silverado a lot better and I put much more time and care into my Silverado than the Sequoia.

                  tuck -
I can certainly relate to "not able to make up my mind" on which Meguiar's product I like best. I have Gold Class liquid, Gold Class paste, NXT original, NXT 2.0, #21, #26, and the list goes on and on. 3 of our 4 vehicles are dark colors - black, dark green, navy blue - and I think the Gold Class somewhat "softens" the shine, which I like. It still shines on dark colors, but not a "harsh" shine, if that makes sense.
Before I show either the Corvette (dark green) or the `56 Chevy (turquiose/white) I will finish with NXT 2.0 because that seems to be what judges are looking for, but for everyday use I like #21 topped with either #26 or Gold Class.

This photo from a couple of years ago is #21 topped with #26.

that corvette looks great, nice combo too. Meguiars has a lot of great waxes to choose from.

Nice pictures of the truck. Too bad GM had to put that antenna in that auckward place. It spoils the lines of the truck.

I really like the GC wax. I found a unopened liquid kit in my house. My brother let me have it, since I'm the one with the the DA.
looks great, of course. Smells... alright. Plus it feels more like a wax when it's time to wipe off.

I know the other products listed here but will continue to look for #21 and #26? (sorry in advance)

most O'reilly's stores sells these two and a few other mirror glaze products. Usually on the aisle with sand papers and plastic spreaders.

Usually on this forum you will see the mirror glaze products called Mxx. As in M21, M26, M135, M07, M40, etc.
