    Re: Disgusted with NXT 2.0

    LOL ... nice one!

I used NXT Tech Wax a year, or so ago and got loads of smearing. I wasn't very experienced back then and have found I absolutely adore my #9 #7 #26 (#16, too sometimes) combo. Thinking about the autumn and winter, I'm going to give NXT Tech Wax another go (now the version 2.0 remix) and top it up with the spray wax. I have read so many good reviews of this product.

You say the local bugs have taken to your car? Well, I have read about particularly shield beetles being attracted to finished cars here in the UK. I had never seen this on my cars until I started to use Meguiars products - is there some kind of bug pheromone in the products?

Are you letting the NXT setup properly? Give it a "smear" test to see if it has setup. When you swipe your clean finger on the wax you should see two things. If it swipes clean, the wax is completely dry and ready for buffing. If it still smears, then it still needs time to dry. I have noticed that on warm to hot humid days here in the south, the NXT takes longer to dry and setup. I'm actually waiting for the passenger sides panels to dry as we speak. If I don't let it dry completely, it will leave streak marks on my black paint.

          ahhhh, you got me!
I am really impressed myself, I reccomend it to everyone, and wont use anything else. And it is sooo easy to put on, and take off, and it takes no time at all, even doing it by hand.

              Re: Disgusted with NXT 2.0

I think the whole key here is to apply a thin coat. Your surface prepping will take care of any imperfections and contaminants so there's no need for increased "pressure" using the NXT wax.

I found that Meguiar's Even Coat Microfiber applicator pad works WONDERS with the NXT wax (doing this by hand of course) and really helps with uniform coverage and a thin layer.

I used to wonder why some of this stuff was so hard to get off, that was because I was inexperienced and using too much product.

I think NXT 2 is very good too, but I have never seen the extraordinary difference that others seem to rave about (compared to other products). Of course, compared to the competition, NXT 2 shatters it, but I find some other Meguiar's products that I prefer a lot of the time.

My first thought was I have to look to see what you were smoking and see if I could get some.

                    But you made me look.
