  • Megs 'Car Odor Eliminator'

Has anyone ever used this stuff? I had a bottle awhile back but found it cracked and empty in the garage. I used the stuff once and it kinda made the car smell like beer/really strong hair spray but it did smell better after awhile. I know megs quit making it and I saw a bottle in O-reillys today for just $3 so I picked a bottle up. Does everyone have the same results as I did when you used this stuff?

    They stopped making it? Darn...

I have only ever used it as kind of a quick freshener, 2 or 3 squirts in the car, once or twice a year, excpet whe nI left my windows open and got rain in. Then I sprayed it a bit heavier, around the cloth but still not againt any specific odor.

But I wouldsay it does smell bad at first, then pretty darn good soon after.

They stopped the making the bigger size a few years ago I believe. I think it was a black bottle but had the same picture with the puppy on it. Anyway I love the stuff and use it all the time. It is a rare find in my area so the last time I saw it (a few weeks ago at K-Mart) I bought two bottles.

It rocks since it was the only thing that permanently eliminated the stench from my old '05 blue libby that was a hand me down company car. It was "detailed", left wet and closed up for a month before I got it. It smelled horrible especially on warm wet days. Meg's Odor Eliminator was the ONLY thing that worked. Not Febreeze or carpet fresh. Now that you mention it, the product does kinda smell like a cross between beer and a new car smell.

I use it enough to keep one handy. It has a strong smell at first, but it really works!

                  Re: Megs 'Car Odor Eliminator'

I use it about once a month in my car. I smoke in the car and anyone knows that that this will leave some odor. My wife, who seems to have the nose of a bloodhound, is amazed at how odor free the car is. Considering she'll get in my car trying to smell tobacco odor, this is high praise. Believe me, she's very picky about odors. If she even imagined she smelled smoke, she'd tell me about it.

Its works quite well, I used that in conjunction with # 23 Mirror Glaze Odor Remover in my house to remove the smell of a skunk that sprayed in my yard..

so far the best odor killing product. tried so many deodorizers, but this is a keeper with great price. just sad to see that the store that carry them ran out of stock and been like that for more than 5 months. So I just order few gals of M23. Its even better

I havent tried ozone generator or the hype here at my side of the world - arch flash thingamagic..

                              Re: Megs 'Car Odor Eliminator'

I, after using good comments about "Car Odor Eliminator", I've bought one today. But after reading the instruction, I don't know how to use this product. The instruction says to spray the product to the affected area. That's good if you know which area is effected and where to spray. For the old cars like I have, you can know that there's some bad odor inside, but don't know where it comes from. So, how should I apply this? Just Spray like air freshener into air OR spray everywhere inside my car? Please help.

                              Thanks,
                              HK77
