  • Gold Class Vinyl/Rubber Protectant ~ The Look....

I ordered Gold Class Vinyl/Rubber Protectant a couple weeks ago after reading what others had said about it on MOL. I have never used it but I wanted an economical, lower gloss interior dressing and this seemed to fit from what others had said.

I applied the product with an Meguiars High-Tech Applicator Pad, I sprayed the product on the pad and worked it in to the surface. Very easy to apply, gives a very even 'rich' look, not to glossy yet not dull I found no need to give a final wipe with a clean towel, I liked the look and it didn't feel greasy. The product smells very pleasant, don't know what to compare it to but no worries it smells just fine.

    The Look:

I do like the product for both the look it gives and the ease of application!

This product is in my top 5 of favorite detailing products. I love this stuff.

The smell is nothing compared to any NXT products but it leaves an almost new car smell behind. I like it, it makes me know my car is clean.

Nice write up. I always like to see and read a nice write up. Gold Class Vinyl/Rubber Protectant was my favorite dressing for a while. It's still on my list of favorites but I've been using #40 and the Water Based Dressing from the Detailer Line and I like them a little better.

I was going to start my own write-up of GC Vinyl/Rubber Protectant, but I saw this one here so I thought I'd just add on to it.

To start off I'd just like to say that I detailed my Aunt's 1995(ish) Jeep Cherokee this past summer (probably 5-6 months ago) and applied some GC Vinyl/Rubber Protectant to the black plastic piece around the wheel wells. Before I applied the protectant, the black plastic pieces were somewhat gray from fading under the sun over the years. This protectant brought them back to a rich black once again. However, the even MORE suprising thing to me was today when I went to my grandma's birthday party and happened to notice my Aunt's Jeep as I walked by. The black plastic pieces are still black....5-6 months later!! Her Jeep was a bit dirty, but I could tell underneath that they still have a bit of rich color to them.

I am truly impressed with the longevity.....

Has she washed it since then?

An interior protectant lasting that long on the outside, especially if it was washed, really would be amazing! Exterior protectants don't even last that long.

I am not sure if she has washed it since then....but I would bet she has only washed it a few times at most.

It is a quality product.... I continue to use it and prefer GC over NXT protectant.

Great review! When I finish my bottle of interior protectant, I am going to buy the GC interior wipes. I find the spray bottles to be too much of a hassle and take more time than wipes.
