  • NXT Wax ( Attracts Dust and Dirt!!! )

I've been an avid NXT Paste wax user for quite a while now. One thing I really hate with NXT wax, is that, it attracts dirt and dust like mad! Is it possible for me to layer it with something else that doesn't attract so much dirt and dust ( and still keeping the NXT's properties, also with the upper layer of wax's properties as well intact )? I have been told to layer NXT Paste Wax with Gold Class's Wax ( not sure which one, I thought there's 2 of 'em. I currently have some small sachets of Gold Class Liquid Wax, which I intend to use ), to gain extra wet look and reduce dirt and dust to stick, is that right? Will this package make a black car look reflective, yet shiny and wet at the same time ( as I'm going to do my pal's black - coloured car next week )? I am going to also clay and polish his car as well prior to waxing. Ideas guys?

Edit : My car is light in colour ( yellow ). Always parked outside 24/7. During the daytime, car is parked close to a busy 6 lane major road in my town. I reside in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, an extremely warm and humid country, with rain quite often.

While my pal's car is black in colour, always parked outside 24/7, but not at a busy area ( or close to a busy road like my case ) Also reside at the same location like mine as well.

Edit #2 : I require durability at least for 2 weeks ( NXT Wax usage, here in my location, can only last for a couple of weeks... )

    poyo,

I've also experienced the same thing with both NXT Tech Wax & #21 Synthetic Sealant under our weather conditions here.

Usually after applying the LSP onto the car, if it rains and I do not wash the car for about 1 1/2 weeks, a layer of dirt film will be formed on the surface. This dirt film cannot be removed by washing, and I usually end up having to use DC#1 Paint Cleaner or #80.

One of my cars is parked under a covered car park while another is left to park outside 24/7. Based on my observation, the car that is parked outside, the LSP (#21) lasts at most 3 weeks.
The other car which is parked covered lasts much longer, about 6-8 weeks. Water still beads

See if you can get your hands on some Medallion Premium Paint Protection. It may still be available in some outlets. It has anti-static properties.

Oooppss! I forgot about my thread here!

Thanks for the info Sherwin. Yeah, that's the same prob I'm facing. So, I actually wax my car every Sunday, and clean up the paintwork with a paint cleaner ( currently using Featherlite Auto Polish, but my DCS #1 is already waiting in the storeroom! ) once every two weeks.

I really wish that I have enough extra RMs to buy the Bosch GEX 270AE, that will make my life easier! And I surely don't mind having to wax my car twice a week if I have such an item, it'll cut time and is less tiring ( compared to doing it by hand ) and also can be used as a reason to buy myself M21!

RamAirV1, there is some Medallion stuffs still lying around here. But I prefer the newer range of MG's stuffs a lot more though. Oh well, maybe just have to live with it, wash the car twice a week and wax weekly perhaps...

My current LSP of choice is NXT Paste. I think it actually helps reduce the buildup on dust and dirt on the paint. After a heavy rain, most of my car stays relatively clean, except for the lower side panels and rear bumper, that have a way of accumulating mud spray from the road.
