ScratchX removed all the small scratches and swirl marks on my 1999 Grand Prix GTP. It looks nearly as good as the day that I drove it out of the showroom.

    Phenomenal product Meguiars. Thanks.

Did you spot use it? Or use over the whole vehicle?

How long did it take to do the whole vehicle?

What method (cloth, direction of motion, etc.) did you use?

    Thanks.

      ScratchX reply

      Hello,

I thoroughly washed and dried the car.

Then used a cotton applicator, in a circular motion, to apply ScratchX to the entire body of the car. Admittedly a great deal of "elbow grease" was required as some areas required two applications to achieve the desired results.

After this the car was waxed with Meguiars Quik Wax and the appearance is outstanding.

I estimate that it took seven hours finish the work.

      Hope this answers your inquiry.

      Best regards

I used ScratchX on my entire car at one time. It's a lot of work IMHO.

it is a lot of work and that why they invented the PC!
It cuts the work in half but it still is a lot of work

I had micro swirls on my Black Bike . No matter what I used they were still there. I used 83 w/8006 pad followed by 80 w/ 8006 pad and final with Machine glaze w/ 9006 pad topped with NXT . they were still there tried slower- faster speeds and compo's of both with the DA and rotory ..

In desperation I picked up some ScratchX and Gold class wax . Did the bike buy hand with terry cloth towels . X2 applications of ScratchX then an application of Deep crystal polish and then Gold Class X2 . I could see the difference when I wiped off the first coat of Scratch x. After the second the swirls were gone .

I am extremely pleased with the results . I wouldnt want to do a car like this by hand but the bike took about 2 hours ..

Just noticed this, and wanted to mention...

Do not confuse the Meguiars spray waxes with a regular coating of a liquid or paste wax. The spray waxes are simply meant as a way to get that fresh waxed look after washing, ie. a bit of a touch up.

Only the regular liquid or paste waxes will give you the protection you really want.
