My understanding is that they just added a Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel and a small sample bottle of A12 Cleaner/Wax.

Not sure if the clay is exactly the same amount but they give it to you in two pieces and include a plastic container (sort of like a soap container) for it.

    PC.

Yeah, it seems like you are getting a little more, but paying a little more. So I think it works out ok. Still better than the Mothers kit.

you can reuse the clay until it starts looking dirty ... I always replace mine when it starts feeling tough and turns a yellowish color. Don't forget to store it in room temperature places in between uses too.

As for the new clay kit, the two bars look the same size as before, just two of them. The bottle of the cleaner wax is really tiny too. You're getting more for the $ which is good.

...and I think you are supposed to shoot some lubricant in a baggy and store it in the baggy, inside the "soap dish".

              Hey,

Here is a pic of the new Smooth Surface Clay Kit's contents. I snapped the pic a couple of days ago before I used the clay for a detail/review.

Do you think that box is a tioght enough seal to keep the clay from drying out, or is it going to need put in a baggie still?

Good question...to be honest, I still placed mine in a Ziploc Bag before placing it in the container. I will take a better look at the container tomorrow and post a follow-up.

I don't think it's a good enough seal to keep the clay from drying out, but I'm pretty new to this so ...
