    Hello All,

I was just wondering how many of you are professional detailers?
How do you order your products in bulk. Does Meg's give you discounts?

I have a detail shop in Boston, MA where we use Malco Products which we get from a local vendor. Thier ok but now I am bringing on line a high volumn hand car wash in February and wanted to explore other options. Any information would be helpful.

    Thanks.
    Tony

    Hi Tony,

Perhaps some of our regular detailers will chime in, you already know Joe from PDTA.

I never did high volume or production work and often times bought from different wagon jobbers that would come by my shop. When I was mobile I would often just buy what I needed from my local PBE store and because I held free clinics in the region and sent them a log of walk in business, they always gave me a discount.

I always tried to include the cost of my products when I gave a quote for the work. For example, $300.00 to polish the paint and $40.00 $75.00 in chemical charges depending on what I had to do. I took the time to educate my customer on the process and what was involved and this opened the door to explain the chemical costs, so for me it was easy to do, for others I don't think this approach will work.

Nice website! Nice approach. Best of luck with your business. I can probably put you in touch with our Area Field Rep if you don't already know them.

Thanks Mike! It would be good if you can put me in touch with the field rep. ASAP as the new shop is coming on line in less than 4 weeks.

      Thanks also for the feedback.
