Hello All,
I am posting this quick comparison between NXT vs. Blue Magic Metal Polish. I have the Blue Magic Metal Polish for about a year or so. I couldn't find the NXT in my local Pepboys. Finally I broke down and ordered the NXT through ADS. By the way, their services were really quick.
In summary, both performed almost the same but here are the differences and similarities:
1-Both containers are about the same size.
2- Upon opening the containers, both products are light blue in color. The Blue Magic has a strong ammonia smell and its consistency is like a liquid wax. The NXT has the typical NXT wax scent without any trace of ammonia; its consistency is like a paste wax.
3- Here is my test subject: a nasty brass faucet from my bathroom.. Yuck!
4-I did rub both product in the spout itself since is easier to reach by hand. I used the same amount of pressure and time (30 sec).
Left side is Blue Magic, right side NXT. I have to take the picture sideways to be fair since the bathroom lightning was shinning more on the NXT side. As you see, it looks that both polish have polished the faucet nicely.
5- One evidence that the NXT perform quickly is the black residue left on my terry cloth.
Left- Blue Magic, Right - NXT. The Blue Magic side is not as darker. One thing I noticed as soon I started spreading (very light pressure) the NXT polish, the terry cloth started to get black really quick.
6- At the end of the quick comparison, I decided to polish the entire spout with NXT (about 5 minutes).
In conclusion, I really like the NXT All Metal Polish because:
1-No ammonia smell (specially in the bathroom).
2-Thicker consistency.
3-It works really quick.
I have to see its durability since the back label states that it leaves a protecting coating against corrosion.
Cheers!
