  • NXT Polysh vs WWII memento

    My grandfather gave me a 40mm Anti-Aircraft casing he picked up while in the Army Air-corps in WWII. He gave it to me 20 some years ago and I recently found it while cleaning out my work room. I figured I'd give NXT a try....

    After about 5 minutes by hand...note the terry applicator at the top:



    Here are the "afters." I used my rotary with the junk wool bonnet that came with it:

    Hmm, Never thought of that. I work with a bunch of Marines who all seem to have various shell casings decorating their offices and desks. I'll catch a couple this morning and show them your results.

          Nice writeup Don!

          There's an old (WWI era) army firing range a few miles from here. It's still possible to find old casings there occasionally.
