Now those are some very nice photo's. That camera is super nice, what is the MP on it? Also do you have a link you can post to the website for that particular model?

definately, there is a whole world of photography I never knew existed. I can already see it turning into a VERY VERY expensive hobby!

            You using the stock lens?

              CA Sunset

Was bored this afternoon and we've gotten a good amount of rain the last two days so the skies were relatively clear. Decided to walk down to the beach and take some shots. (I also learned my $30 tripod, is indeed a POS )

                I have 3.

                1. The stock Canon lens that comes with the DR
                2. The Canon 35-105 that I used on my slr rebel (film camera).
                3. Canon 75-300 IS lens. I really like this lens for long distance stuff.

cool, how do you like the 75-300? That's the one that's relatively cheap right?

I like it. It's around $400. I actually got mine in the Virgin Islands (on vacation). It was $385, no tax and they threw in some free stuff.

Takes good distance shots. It's not on par with an L lens, but it's a whole lot cheaper. It's really cool when you see the IS kick in and what you see in the viewer stops shaking.

                        Nice pictures HotRodGuy!

Did you get a chance to travel the Blue Ridge Parkway in southern VA?

Here's a shot of the Mabry Mill (In S. VA). It's one of the most photographed places on the parkway.....
