  • Hello!

Thanks for confirming my forum membership.

At 72 years old I may have a slightly different profile from a lot of members. I don't hand wash the cars. I won't spend a lot of time going through multiple detailing steps. No clay bar. No electric buffing. Instead, I use the automatic car wash almost weekly - you know the kind that drags your car through the tunnel with all the spinning brushes and hanging things doing the hula. After the wash, I use a competitor's spray & wipe product that is used while the car is still wet. I use that basically because I have it left over from use on my outboard motor.

I would like to upgrade the paint protection & shine for our new Honda Pilot which is Platinum White Pearl. Looking through all of Meguiar's offerings, it is not clear to me which might work best in my situation. By that I mean, I don't want to go to a lot of trouble applying a product if it is going to come off next week in the car wash.

I'n the past, mainly for ease of application, I've preferred liquid products over the traditional carnauba waxes. I'm looking at Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax. Is that a good choice or should I be looking at another product? Or, considering the weekly auto washes, should I stick with one of Meguiar's quick wax products after each wash.

BTW, won't hurt my feeling if you treat me like I know nothing, because I don't!! haha.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Welcome!
Well you may be better off looking at the Hybrid Ceramic family because it should be more durable than the Ultimate line, which is also a great lineup.
Maybe throw on a coat of Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax then you can wipe down with Ceramic Detailer after the washes.
