The last time my sister called me out of the blue, it was to say she was gonna have a baby. Last night she called me ... out of the blue for a much smaller reason... here's the silly story.

My sister now has a wonderful baby girl of a little over a year and she had gotten tired of hauling the kid from the back seat of her two door Escort - time for a bigger car!

Her heart was set on a Subaru for reason's I'll never understand. However everytime she found one she liked, the dealership would never give anything for her little Escort!

Last time we were together at our folks place, I made a comment about how dirty the car was ... no wonder she couldn't get anything for the car. So the two of us cleaned it up.

She ended up getting book for the little Escort and is very happy with her Subaru.

Laura called last night to thank me for showing her how to keep a car clean, to tell me that detailing is relaxing .... and next time she washes the car, she's going to try out her new claybar.

See? Sometimes the hard work really does pay off .... and in more ways than just a glossy finish.

Subarus are great cars in the snow and ice. My wife won't drive ANYTHING else. And they are pretty reliable too.
