  • Hello from Sarasota, FL!

    Hi there,

I thought I signed up a long time ago here but I couldn't figure out if I did or not but I'm almost 100% sure that I did sign up this time.

I usually just lurk here in my spare time and take in as much knowledge as I possibly can. I have been in the auto care business for over 6 years now. Getting ready to open a new detailing facility in the next 2-3 weeks.

This is a nice forum. Great design!

    Take care,

    Dwayne

I know that our approach for our new detailing facility is pretty simple.

        1. Buy enough insurance.

        2. Learn as much as possible.

        3. Charge enough to be successful even after all of the smoke clears and the bills are paid.

        4. Give the customer the best work that we can possibly give them.

        5. Hand out at least 50 business cards per week.

        6. Realize the power of the internet and find out how it can help your business. Make sure that when someone does a search for "auto detailing in (insert your city here)" that you show up in the search results. The yellow pages are a great place to be found but they do cost money. Google is where people are doing their searches these days, even on the local level.

I could go on and on and on but I think I covered some of the things that I think is important for a professional detailer to address.
