  • Old newbie to the forum....back to Meguiars

I'm a 56 year old male. Live in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. Yes...the same place that has the Sturgis Rally. Also there is a Porche Rally, Mustang Rally, and Model T Rally. I'm sure others will be created also. The Hills are a wonderful place to drive around. I get paid to do that.

So anyway. I got a deal at the Toyota dealer on a used 2014 Corolla LE. I only want good transportation. The paint on it is nothing but a mass of spyder web. I knew it could be corrected. I took the deal. I've had the car a week. Only today did I realize that there is a meaning to "Black Pearl". I finally saw the Pearl in the paint. When I get this polished up, it's gonna look beautiful.

I was looking into how to straighten out this car's finish. Looked at all the stuff. I was disoriented. Until I came across a guy online named Darren Priest. He makes so much sense to me. He's very real. His info caused me to come back to Meguiars. I'm following his preferences on taking care of a car.

I also have pictures of an old 1970 Mustang I owned. (38 years ago) I used nothing but Meguiars cleaner wax on it. I'll post pictures in another post.
I'll also post pictures of my Corolla. When I get it done. I imagine it should end up looking beautiful. That green pearl in the black paint, really impressed me this morning.

Welcome to MOL from IL! I have an Attitude Black on my Toyota that has a great metallic to it. I got it new and came here on how to care for it. Do yourself a favor, if you don't have a dual action polisher, get one. You won't regret spending the money on one. This was my first black car and after couple of months owning it I said I wouldn't get another one, but now, I am not afraid when I see the results of how good it looks.

      Good luck!
