Hello everyone from Orange Park, Florida! My name is Mark Ezell, and I am eagerly anticipating my growth in the knowledge and skills of detailing my car. I have always wanted to attend a detailing course somewhere, but haven't found one, so I guess this is the next best thing, right?! I currently own a 2007 Chrysler 300 SRT Design with gunmetal blue paint. The last couple of years my baby's paint and other trim have deteriorated faster than I can keep up, no matter the efforts I have made to preserve her. My biggest battle has been the daily grind I put the car through and all the rocks and "shrapnel" she gets hit with, accompanied by my occasional laziness of taking her through a car wash. Granted, my exclusive use of Meguiars products keeps my car looking better than anyone elses in the parking lot, but it is still in need of some major attention. I am certain you guys will guide me through this.

A friend I work with owns an SRT. I think it's a 2006? It's burgandy in color and he's real into maintaining it as clean as possible. He's got a minor issue with the clearcoat on the tailfin [is that what it's called?] peeling a bit, but otherwise it's pretty sharp for a regularly washed car.. His seats are leather trimed with what I guess is alcantera/suede in the middle of the seats. Are your seats that same type of material?

Yes, the differences between a standard 300 and an SRT Design is the 350 HP 5.7L V8, performance independent front and load-leveling rear with height control, performance 9-Land steering gear, 20" SRT forged, ultra-brite, aluminum wheels with 245/45WR20 all-season performance tires, performance exhaust system, high-speed engine controller, trunk lid spoiler, body-color door handles, leather-wrapped, performance front seats perforated with Preferred Suede inserts, power adjustable pedals, leather-wrapped steering wheel with perforated leather upper trim, and the silver accented shift knob. The differences between the SRT "D" and the SRT 8 are the 6.1 liter 425 HP engine and the alloy wheels.

Wow! That's what I call a quik in depth description from someone who deffinently knows their automobile. :thumbsup

1 small mistake by me as when I saw SRT I wasnt aware they arent just 1 base model car. I noticed after I posted that yours is a Chrysler 300 SRT. My friend has a Charger SRT. But all of those cool extra features sound in line with how he described his vehicle to me. That's pretty cool and I know from looking at his car that it blows away a stock Charger in every way. His SRT has the 425hp engine. I know that because I was surprisingly shocked when he told me that. Lol.
