So....time has been an issue, this if not my first post, but I joined a week ago and thought I'd say "hi".
So far I've really been enjoying this forum. I've been put in a difficult situation that I'm adapting to quickly, and expanding my business as I feel comfortable.
I took over a mobile detailing company that sort of fell in my lap 3 months ago. Week 1, 3 customers. Yikes. The van had a VERY NICE set up as far as built in equipment, vacuum, pressure washer, tank, generator, steamer. But the line of products being used were done generic stiff I've never heard of, and I was given a Walmart looking orbital polisher with microfiber bonnets, for everything.
3 months later....
Fully booked 1 week out, have learned (still learning always, and probably will be) a rotary buffer, have half of my products converted to Meguiar's, and hoping to be 100% Meguiar's within the next month.
Picked up quite a bit of skill in a quick amount of time, most due from spending 2-3 hours reading every night, and at least 1 hour/day practicing with new tools and products on my personal car including sanding, and maybe painting soon. Stress levels are through the roof just because I have no "me"time, its contestant study if I'm not working on a customers car.
All that said I've fallen in love with this business. Hello,I think I'm here to stay
