Thank you guys so much for allowing me to become a member on this site. I just bought a salvaged 2001 Honda accord and had it fixed up to running condition, but now it needs some interior and exterior TLC pretty badly. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated since I know absolutely nothing about detailing. Also I live an hour away from Irvine and was wondering if there are any classes being offered in November or December. Thanks so much.

Welcome. Sounds like you have a little project on your hands. Do you happen to have any photos to see what you are working with?

Re: Complete first timer
Welcome to the forum! Glad to hear you are interested in getting the car looking good again. You came to the right place to learn about detailing. My first suggestion is to read. This site is loaded with info on how to do practically anything on your car. It's amazing what you can learn from just skimming through some old posts. Now, I also recommend watching some videos on how to detail. Meguiar's has quite a few on the Youtube and a man named Larry Kosilla makes really helpful and easy to follow basic detail videos on his channels, AmmoNYC and /Drive Clean on Youtube. Welcome to what will possibly become your obsession, detailing is a drug, and it is addictive.

As you'll read on here, great products are always supported by the proper towel. I'm a Meguiar's fan through & through, but Chemical Guys is definitely the place to get towels. Most of their towel are silk banded to prevent scratches and they have several that are of different pile heights, for a wide variety of applications. See previous microfiber towel thread, as well as this awesome video that describes the differences.
Best of luck!!!--
