  • Greetings From Victoria Canada

    Hi all:

Well I am here to learn from the great minds that came before me. After a long hiatus from detailing my vehicles I bought one that really deserves the constant upkeep, a 2003 Lincoln Navigator Ultimate Edition 4X4. Black on black so I have my work cut out for me.

A little about me, I am a Boatswain in the Canadian Navy. I have been in the Navy for 13 years, so only 7 years to retirement. I live on the West Coast of Canada in Victoria B.C. My other main hobby is stunt kites. I am married and have a 3 pound Chihuahua named Scorchie.

I really am glad that I found this place. I have been reading and printing out all kinds of great informationover the past week or so, and figured I had better thank all of you. I look froward to learning from all of you, and figuring out what all the abbreviations, and acronyms stand for. Thanks again for all the great info I have already read, and that I am sure I will be reading in the future.

Thanks Mike that is a life saver, I thought we had a lot of acronyms in the Navy. Now to convince my wife that I need a PC.

Thanks for the welcome Tim. Barbs is still there, but they close seasonally. We tend to go there with the Ribs (rigid inflatable boat) whenever we can. It is really convenient from the dockyard. A quick question for you. Where is a good place to buy Megs stuff in B.C.? They seem to have a limited supply at Crappy Tire. Lordco seems to have some, and I haven't tried Napa yet. Mostly I need the brushes and wipes and such, and a PC.

            Thanks

              Hey,

For the Meguiar's products, Lordco is your best bet. But be sure to go to the back counter and ask for a discount as their retail prices are pretty high. Also, look in their body shop supply section as this is where they keep the Meg's Professional products. What they do not have in stock can be ordered with the exception of the Meg's Detailer Series of products.

For a PC, Crappy Tire carries the 7424 which they put on sale once in a while.

              Cheers!

ps. Great news about Barb's! I used to work part time (while going to university) doing electronic work at Scotty's which was right beside Barb's! Small world!
