  • Greetings from Malaysia

    Hey guys,

Hello from KL Malaysia. Never really been serious on car care until I got my new ride. Was researching on the best ways to preserve my paint and i stumbled upon Meguiar's. Somehow, it made me 'Car Crazy' enough to want to pick up detailing as my weekend hobby

Hoping to gain more knowledge from the all of you here in the forum. Thanks

Have a look around and ask some questions. There's heaps of useful info on here..

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Hopefully the products are available there. Mine have to come in with visitors or when I visit my grandkids.

From what I gather from other Malaysian members here, there is a Meguiars distributor in Malaysia.

Richard, why don't you order products on line? I get mine from Autogeek in the US and you are much closer to the States than I am.

We do have an official Meguiar's distributor in Malaysia, who distribute the items to the other stockist (hypermarts, DIY Shops, Detailing Shops). So its actually quite easy to get Meguiar's stuff over here. The range of products however, are not as extensive as you can get in the US. But we're really paying quite a premium. If we compare the prices with the US, even after conversion (rate: 1 USD = Malaysian Ringgit 3.101) we're still paying like 3 times more. I guess its due to the shipping charges. I got a few products from friends returning from business trips in the US. Other than that, I usually stock up when there are promotions/sales.

I think I'll give Autogeek a try since Amazon does not ship Meguiar's products to Malaysia.

I order from Amazon, but if I need something by FedEx or UPS, the freight is at least $200. So my air freight orders are limited to emergency things.
