  • Hello from Orange County

New user from Orange County, CA here, just around the corner from Meguiar's HQ, as I've recently discovered.

I'm a life-long car-nut. However, I'm definitely a slow learner with detailing, and looking to change that.

I first got into detailing maybe 15 years ago when a relative gifted me the Meguiar's Deep Crystal 3-step system (paint cleaner, polish, and wax), and I was amazed at how great I could get my paint looking with it. It was so good that I used it all the way up until it was recently discontinued. Disappointed that I could no longer buy it, I researched and discovered why it was discontinued (because there are better products available).

I was also used to working my fingers raw in the process, and wanted to change that, so I just purchased my first DA polisher, a Porter Cable 7424XP, along with a bunch of Meguiar's pads and products. If all goes well, I should have a big box waiting for me at home today!

I'm far from an expert, so I'll be lurking a lot, and hoping to learn as much as I can. I'm also hoping to attend one of the Meguiar's classes as well!

    to MOL!

Attending the Saturday classes and Thursday Night Open Garage isn't a bad idea at all.

That's a good selection of products you have there. Now get to work!

You'll get lots of help along the way here..

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
