  • Hello from The Shenandoah Valley of Virginia!

    Hello all,

I just found this forum in a search as I prepare to use my still new (was a gift last Christmas, Thank You "Wife Unit" ) for the first time to do my '07 F150 (always done by hand before). I have an older 9" that just never has had power and the ergonomics were aweful that I have used on cars to apply wax ( usually I ended up removing excess by hand). Other than the few times with that old 9" orbital, I've always done my vehicles totally by hand.

I have done some in years past with many other products (Liquid Glass / Duragloss PC / ICE to name a few) trying them out, but just plain old Meguiar's Cleaner Wax has been a favorite of mine since the '70s .... it's been like an old friend (used a lot of it too!) that I always seem to come back to.

Anyway, at 58 yoa I am hoping to learn about more Meguiar's other products here (like the 205 and any clear liquids that canm be used over textured black or rubber?) and how to use them.

I retired from the state after 31+ years as a LEO and now work PT at AdvanceAP (really fun, no internally developed stress, I do partly delivery / partly sales and it get's me out into the world a few days a week, meet my old buddies over coffee .... plus the employee discount ain't bad) and ....
.... and after 40+ years taking care of my stuff (as well as work cars) ....
.... I see that I still have a lot to learn.

            Thanks all!

Just read that whole article above, the 5 steps .... good stuff there! Today I used my new real random orbital PC with the tame cleaner wax .... mostly to apply but it sure made it easier to get those few water spots off. I didn't know what to expect and did not want to screw up my paint .... so today was learning.
