Hi, I'm from the GR area of Michigan. I have a 2000 dodge Dakota that has either a problem with clear coat failure or oxidation on the roof. I'll post pics in the next couple days to give a better idea of what it is. Just curiuos of what should I do to clear it up. Big blotchy white spots on black paint. Thanks!

Re: Hello from Michigan!
Hmm.. looks like CCF.
Unfortunately that means you'll have to re-paint.Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Welcome, from a former Michigan resident, to MOL! Your images are no longer showing up so we can't comment directly on the paint condition, but if Davey thinks it's clear coat failure we're inclined to trust his judgement.Michael Stoops
