I would have never dreamed that I would spend hours reading a forum about car detailing, but here you are and here I am. I bought my first new car in 10 years and am discovering that I actually enjoy washing and shining up my car. My dad taught me to drive in his 67 Firebird, and I remember watching him washing and waxing her. I didn't understand at the time why he wanted to be outside in the Texas heat working so hard on that car. Now, I'm beginning to understand! Thanks for all of the information and helpful hints offered in this forum. I am armed with a list of products to look for and am headed out the door into the Texas heat!

That is exactly where my passion for cars started. Right in our own garage, my dad had a Model A, the guy even waxed and polished the framework. Now, here I am doing the same thing he did. Granted, he was a "Mothers" guy... Lol... Gotta Rebel from our parents once in a while
