  • Greetings from San Fernando Valley, California.

My name is Jaemeson, and I'm 21 years old from Porter Ranch, California. I'm currently attending a community college down in the city of Moorpark in the Ventura County area. I grew up liking cars ever since I played the first Gran Turismo game for the Playstation as a child. Maintaining and working on different kinds of cars is my number one hobby and hopefully soon to be something I can make a career out of. My major interests are Japanese sports cars, but I also appreciate different kinds of cars; from American muscle to European exotics. Right now, the current car I drive is a Black Cherry Mica 2005 Mazda RX-8 Shinka Edition equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. I'm looking forward to learning more about detailing and as well as getting to know the many of the members here on the forums.

Is it easy maintaining Mazda paint? I find it's pretty durable...btw, welcome to the forums!

I recently attempted to detail the paint on this car, but I've made some mistakes already which is why I joined the forums. I've done a handful of research and read that Mazda paint tends to be on the soft side and can be more sensitive to abrasive products. Plus, it's a dark colored car; another thing for me to worry about! I will be posting my questions pretty soon in the "Detailing 101" section and hopefully be able to get an idea from there. Also, thanks!
