Hello all, Im brand spanking new to detailing. I drive a 99 explorer XLT. I've never waxed a car before and decided that since I'm trying to keep my car for a while longer I might as well make it look nice. Well with that being said I went out and bought about $200 worth of Meguiar's products. LOL I think the products are worth more than the car. I can't wait to try out all the new products I bought. I bought UC, UP, ULW, stratch x 2.0, plastic x, deep crystal wash, clay bar kit, brake dust barrier, hot rims all wheel cleaner, dynacone kit, all metal polish, endurance tire dressing, 2 grit guards, 2 buckets, about 20 different MF towels and cloths, 3 foam applicators, 3 MF applicators and some MF detergent for washing all the MF's. I know I know spent a lot of money for a beginer. I have a tendency to go all out when I get into a new project. Thank you so much for all the info you guys put up here. I used to just use dishwashing soap to wash my car and now I know that that was a big mistake. Ive think I've put in about 15-20 hours over the last week just reading all the info on here. LOL I feel like a pro already and haven't even waxed the car yet. Thank you Meguiar's for putting out awesome products and taking all my money. I'm really looking forward to attending your thursday night open garage and saturday classes. My buddy is letting me use his Meguiar's DA polisher today so I'm going to try tackling my hood to see how it comes out. Thanks again guys for all the info you put up here.
