  • what to use

What do you think would be better for a 07 lexus is

    1. Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Polishing System or

2.Ultimate compound & ultimate polish and wax

    Welcome to MOL, Jason.

What you should use depends on a lot of variables. If the paint is in pretty decent condition then you should be able to pretty easily correct it with Ultimate Compound, Ultimate Polish and wax using foam pads on the DA. Remember that the DAMF System is quite aggressive, so if you don't need that level of aggressiveness there's no real reason to use it. Have you ever worked on this car before - do you have any idea how it responds to input and whether the paint is hard, soft, delicate, or pretty straightforward?

+1 On what Mike said. What experiance do you have with the paint and what is the finish like?

Over all the car looks good, just have some scratches ( not deep ) that I can't get out and not sure why, and have some what looks like pin holes on trunk I would like to make smooth. Do you recommend a detail shop in Las Vegas and then I can just try to keep it looking good. Should I give DA microfiber system a try or just work Ultimate Compound longer?? Thanks for the input!!

What have you been using so far? By hand or other machine?
