You've found a great place to learn both the basics and finer points of surface care. Spend some time scrolling an searching through the various topics and then fire away with your questions. For some preliminary advice, I would recommend first doing a complete treatment with a mild clay bar. Even new cars are known for having surface-bonded contaminants from the painting process, rail transport and lot storage. Give yourself a clean smooth surface to start with and your ultimate results will be better.
